The First Review!!! Bhramm!!

Bhramm is a Pune based band. They were my choice to be the first band I review simply because of the fact that when I heard them I felt something I haven't in a long time. Awe. The band's line-up as copied from their facebook page is:

Mrinal- Lead Guitars
Kushagra- Vocals
Vinit- Vocals
Bidhan - Guitars
Shashank - Percussion
Krish - Bass

With a very progressive, Tool-influenced* sound the band takes psychedelic rock to new heights. Though the songs they've posted in the links I'll provide are pretty good, my favourite would undoubtedly be 'Shivrag'. Kicking it off with a dedication to Marijuana smokers, it takes less than a minute into the song to realize why. The trippiest, most mind-blowing guitars and drums to be put together, this song is yet to be posted on their website, www.bhrammtheband.com. Hindi vocals which I'd say they pull off very well, they seem to be very committed to their music.

To sum up, whether you're into psychedelic rock, Tool/Porcupine Tree reminiscent music or you just like good music. You have to catch Bhramm. Their live performances have an excellent energy. I'll bet my word on it that these guys will be in the major leagues in a few years. Now I'm too lazy to type more because of the hectic day. So, catch up with Bhramm on their facebook page:

Indian Band Review

I've started this blog to promote Indian Bands which I feel strongly about. There is a serious dearth of supporters and promoters for the Indian music scene. The change in the last 10 years has been remarkable and this must be progressive. Regressive change will only hurt the brilliant talent that's coming out of the Indian music scene. I will be posting more soon.

All the great bands out there need to be heard and this is just me doing my part for the cause. I appreciate whatever response I can generate.
